An Electrifying Night With Stray Kids

I knew Stay Kids was going to be hype. (I mean, we’re talking about the group known for their loud music.)  But I didn’t expect the electrifying energy the boys emanated through their powerful dancing, vocals, and overall stage presence.

There wasn’t a dull moment all night. For three solid hours, the boys transitioned effortlessly from one bop to the next and didn’t miss a beat! When the group went from “God’s Menu” to “Domino” or from “Superboard” to “TA,” my excitement rose exponentially as the easily recognizable songs that I play endlessly in my car began to travel to my ears, this time mixed with a creative mix of live instruments and the delighted screams of other fans and concertgoers.

I was on Cloud 9 the whole time.

I imagine the pure ecstasy I felt as an avid listener was not the same as someone who has never heard any of Stray Kids’ songs. Still, I also believe that even first-time or casual listeners couldn’t help but head bang and jump around to the music that filled the venue.

For the Ft. Worth show, the boys utilized props, stage elements, lights, confetti, and other tools to create an immersive experience ( and made for great photo ops). My phone was on record almost the whole time, and I kept praying that it had enough storage to catch all the moments I wanted to keep forever. Thankfully it made it through.

Stray Kids has always seemed like a lively bunch of guys to me, and my feelings were confirmed as I watched the group play on stage, interact with fans, enjoy themselves, and live in the moment. I love it when you look at artists and want to spend a day with them and get to know them as people, not as your favorite idol.

Felix stole my heart (as I knew he would), but there was something so precious about IN’s shy yet friendly personality. Suengmin has been catching my eye as the secretly funny guy in the group, and last night he warmed my heart with his cute antics. Bang Chang (our fearless leader) led the charge and conveyed the message that the group was excited to put on this performance for Stays.

The group was slated to perform last year, but a few members caught COVID-19 and had to postpone. It disappointed them (and the fans!), but they came back with a knockout concert that was probably better than it would have been if they had performed last year. This year also marks their five-year anniversary, so what better way to celebrate the occasion?

Anyways I could go on and on about this concert. Y’all know I love a headbanger, so this night had me hype. The boys said they would come back again, so best believe imma be right there when they do! Maybe even front row.
